The Oregon Career &Technology Center, a department of Adult Education has been in existence for over 30 years known as the Adult Education Department of the Oregon City Schools. The department was created to provide a means for adults in the community to gain access to school resources. Adult Basic and Literacy Education was added in the early 1970’s. Later, in the 1990’s, adult vocational training was added. Since the addition of adult vocational courses, the Oregon Adult Education Department was renamed the Oregon Career & Technology Center. This change reflects a new vision of workforce development and occupational training.
The Goal of the Oregon Career and Technology Center is to provide a quality, low cost training solution for adults and businesses in Northwest Ohio
